The Greene County Community Foundation (GCCF) on April 4 distributed grants to eighteen projects totaling $208,255. This amount was a combined total of monies received from Grow Greene County ($160,000) and accessed funds from the GCCF endowment ($48,255).
There were 38 grant applications with a record breaking $467,141 in requests.
Recipients of the largest grants included the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC), $32,227; Sierra Community Theatre, $33,500; and Greene County Conservation, $20,000.
The GCCF board thanked all the volunteers and representatives who applied for funding to complete projects which will benefit all corners of Greene County.
